GREENHILL’S ANNUAL WINTER SHOW AND COLLECTORS CHOICE GALA

CELEBRATES NC ARTISTS

WINTER SHOW opens to the public on Wednesday evening, December 11, 2024, at 5:30 PM. Featuring over 70 emerging and established artists from across the state, Winter Show runs through Saturday, February 15, 2025. Contemporary works in all mediums—including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, jewelry, wood, and fiber—will be showcased. Student docents from Weaver Academy's National Honor Society will be present at the opening to speak about an exhibiting artist they have selected to study.

All works in the exhibition are offered for sale, providing the public an opportunity to encounter works by talented artists at all stages of their careers. “Winter Show is a showcase that allows the public and collectors to discover the newest wave of NC artists, such as Zaire Miles-Moultrie, who will be exhibiting collage giclée prints and is currently enrolled in UNCG’s printmaking program,” adds curator Edie Carpenter. The range of artworks is exceptional—from handmade furniture by John Parkinson to steel and acrylic works by Jessie Avant Smith, as well as large-scale paintings by artists Victoria Pinney and Joyce Williams, who will all be exhibiting at GreenHill for the first time.

Paintings by Adele Wayman and Dimeji Onafuwa may be viewed alongside handmade ceramics by Dodie Campbell, carved wooden pieces by Kirk Fry, hand-crafted textiles by Michelle Wilkie, striking photography by Phillip Loken, and remarkable glasswork from Brent Kee Young. They are among 70 exceptional artists and hundreds of artworks on display. To learn more about all Winter Show artists who will be on view, visit: https://www.greenhillnc.org/wintershow-2024.
